There are other big parking lots right in the area, but the business owners do not want people hanging out in the parking lots and the cops will be called. If you're drunk in public or doing stupid stuff they will arrest you. There is a cop always sitting outside the bw3's right across the street on the weekends. Harrison is a small town with small town cops that don't mess around and don't have much to do....
I would consider moving the hotel location to Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It's only a few minutes away, bigger town, no probs from cops, more hotels to choose from, racing go carts, oval dirt track, and they also have a casino and strip club there. It is about the same distance from the track as well.

as long as we stay in the hotels parking lot they cannot do anything, once we are on public property they can. The hotel has been informed that we spend a lot of time in the parkign lot associating, and they said that is not a problem. Considering we will be using almost 60% of their rooms, why bitch?

And a little more on topic.... like Paul said, the cops were fine. They were doing their jobs and were very nice and dealt with us in a good manner. The manager that night was a completely prick, through and through. I heard about the bottle story, I really wish I could have witnessed it though!
