Since I bight my 01 Sunfire 2.2, I've been having this annoying whine from the belt end of the engine whenever the engine was running. Using the screwdriver trick, I have narrowed the noise to the steering pump. I've been searching for a pump for a couple months for cheap, but can't really get to a junkyard due to work hours. I looked at interchanges for the pump itself without the reservoir attached and found out I already have a matching pump I got with engine parts from a 3100. What's the trick to swapping reservoirs on the 2 pumps? Is it like the older style where the reservoir is held in place by the line fittings on the rear of the pump?
