could someone tell me where my trans fluid vent/ fill cap is. ive looked in my chiltons and in the manual that came in the car but i cant find it. under the brake master cylinder, and stuff there is no little plug like the pictures show. thanks btw its a 97 2.2l 5spd

anyone? theres a bolt looking thing on the top, that im thinking could be it. but im not sure. should i be looking for a little lever type deal, or a plastic knob or what?

Not sure about a 2.2L, but on my '99 Z it was to the right of the engine, way down in there. It had a red cap and said TRANS on it. I had to use a long funnel to get to it.

i have a 97 2.4L 5-spd, so I bet its pretty much the same. I put the car on a lift at school and on top of the differential there is a white handle. thats the top of the dipstick. You need to pull up to unlock it then it can come out. I don't know if you can reach it from the engine bay or not.

ill have to take a look is is near the back or the front of the dif

the back. if i remember right, its to the right (passenger side) of the gasket.
