P0171 and P0172???
Saturday, March 26, 2005 5:54 PM
I'm thinking it might be an 02 sensor. Yesterday, traveling on the interstate with the cruise control on, all of the sudden I loose power. I gave it some gas but nothing. The car slowed until until I pushed in the clutch and as soon as the RPM's dropped, the engine died. This happend 3 time on my way home. I nursed it home and pulled out the scanner and these were the 2 codes recorded.

Any ideas anyone? Like I said, I think its the O2 sensor.

Some GM cars have fuse in I/P fuse block to control bank1 oxygen sensor, maybe it could help you. This fuse (if you have this configuration) supply Some parameters like Egr valve ans fuel evap solenoid.

I've checked all the fuses and they are all good. Thanks for the help though. I've checked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any. Could spark plugs/gap also cause it?
