Power Steering issues
Friday, March 25, 2005 10:25 PM
Noticed my power steering makes this weird.... rattling noise when it sits at idle... ... and when I turn the wheel it becomes a steady rattle and also the more I press the gas the steadier and louder the rattle till it becomes an annoying noise....

I read through a few of the posts and I'm guessing my shaft is broken.... but... if it's broken... why do I still have power steering?

The noise sounds pretty unhealthy too... let me know what you guys think.

It's probably the pump making the noise. If the fluid is not low u maynot have a leak, but I highly recommend LUCAS powersteering stop leak it will eliminate ALL noise from the pump and seal up any leaks if u have any in the system from the rack, and It really works no b/s.U can find this at advance auto or auto zone ,napa.

Thanks a lot ron I'm gonna give it a shot. Hopefully it's nothing worse than that because the thing is full and always has plenty to drink as far as fluids go.

Thanks for the advice. sorry on the late post... weekend celebrations
