cam and crank sensor code
Sunday, April 10, 2005 11:41 PM
I am having a problem with my '98 Cavy 2.2, that I hope I can get some help with. It is throwing out a camshaft and crankshaft sensor code when being read. I have had it to a local garage and Chevy dealer and had both sensors replaced and the codes still popped up after being cleared. The Chevy dealership doesn't know what it could be and I don't want to spend a fortune to have them find out. Any help you guys could give me would be very grateful.

Check the wiring to both sensors ...

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.

all the wires to the sensors have been checked both shops, but thanx for the suggestion.

Not wanting to say it but could it be the sensor on the crank or cam shaft has gone bad? or the part that the sensors are suppose to read? not sure but that would be my guess. I could be wrong anyone else think this possibly?

Was the PCM reset after replacement?

Like disconnect negative battery cable for 15 minutes.

you need to watch them with a graphing meter to realy see what is going wrong.
