How good are the cosmo racing intakes?
Thursday, February 17, 2005 9:04 AM
I was considering getting an intake for my 2005 ls sport and I was looking at diffrent intakes such as K&N and RK sport, though I read something a while back about a Cosmo racing intake for $65...are these as good as the big brands for gains and sound? Or does it really matter about the brand?

Brand doesnt really matter nor does the cost, you can get equal gains with an intake thats costs $30 as one that costs $400. The filter of your choice determins the overall sound. The filters with a mesh top, produce a deep sound because that mesh works like a drum, sounds great to me. Cones that have that plactic heat shield, and a small amount filter area inside make a hissing sound. and some argee less power for less air to bring air into.

Correction: Due to less filter area = less amount of air can be inhaled at same time as opposed to Full sized normal intake filters. example:

Cosmo racing is one of the best looking and performing intakes there is, show quality best bang for your buck by far.
