Actually it works really well and is very cheap. We have done a few 2nd gen mounts with window urathane and they work great. I even did my front tranny mount with the stuff and it works fine. Yes it may be "getto" but to me function means more than style.

Be interesting to try since there are no ploy auto tranny mounts readily available.

Also may be a good alternative to those High Rev/RSM rear axle poly bushings.

You can use Liquid nails too. It works well.

thats what i was thinking when i saw the article. and then i thought of the trans mounts another 50 bucks thats 170 bucks worth of mounts for a few bucks

yeah i hate the people on here who just slam anyone who is trying to upgrade their car in some sort of inexpensive way. they are just pissy because they don't know who to do it themselves. yeah nova i'm going to do that, i have a friend with a civic who did it.

old news. poly filling mounts has been around for a while. We used to do this for first gen and second gen kia's before mass produced mounts were developed.

It works the same way, and lasts just as long, But doesnt looks as pretty as energy suspension types. And the dogbone mount would be hard to do, but nevertheless possible.

Yeah i did it on my ALero and it worked out great, just make sure you clean out the mount real well first!

i heard of it but i never seen a write up on it thats why i posted it. now this gives some people a chance to upgrade their car without blowing their budget
