Do you have pics of the fuel rail? I don't remember what a 2.3 fuel rail looks like, although I can't imagine it being too much different. As far as bigger injectors go... why? Do you have mods that require you to upgrade your injectors? You say you aren't running boost or nitrous, so I would assume not.

If you want to go to a bigger injector, I believe 99 was the year they started using lower impedance injectors. 96-98 should fit. Personally I wouldn't bother until you need them, but that's just the way I see it. Correct me if I'm wrong...

The 2.3 injectors are low impendance injectors. I think that 99 was the first year of high impendance. Everyhting will bolt right up, yes. The advantage is the slightly higher flow rate if you have something to help you settle back down the idle. You want the injectors off the vin A engine though. It says "high output" on the IDI cover or a the 8th (I think that's it) digit in the car's vin is an 'A'. You should only need to do this if you are lean or if your injectors are clipping at high RPM and you are not getting enough fuel. Do to the fact that your registry shows no car or mods, I wouldn't do it if I were you. If you decide to go boost, these also aren't the best injectors for higher fuel pressure. The max you want them to see is around 60 psi. I am using them for boost, but I am actually running eight of them. I have one in each factory spot and then one in each runner of the intake manifold. Each rail has a fuel pressure regulator on it to keep roughly stock fuel pressure. If you want to use these injectors anyway, an There is an Accel adjustable fuel pressure regulator made for a 96 LS1 (or LS6?) that fits our rails and is very cheap if you can find Fuelin.com's ebay store. I might get a pair of these. We'll see. Good luck with your fuel.

Hey mattf, I like the idi cover.
Did you paint it or powder coat.
I just got a 97 head for free, and powdercoated the cam towers themselves black, and will go black with the idi cover, then sand and polish the letters/ribs.
Guess you stole my idea...lol. I've seen em before like that and like it. I wonder what someone would pay for something like that...

It's polished and painted with high temp paint. A LOT of people on the org have done it. It's soon to be replaced with a somewhat custom cover, and 100% polished. It's bound to piss off someone on here.

It is way cooler with no IDI and spark plug wires between the towers
