Best sounding exhaust out there

I was just wondering what kind of exhaust everyone has, and if has a deep tone to it. I'm probably going to buying my here pretty soon and i dont' want one thats real high pitch.

Borla! Or have one custom made by a shop, just bring your own muffler (others will tell you wich is descent). It's hard to say which is best sounding, its kinda like a trial and error type deal but if you want a cat back system, I would recommend Borla. Just my opinion.

best way to go is custom exhaust.
my exhaust system may sound good on my car, but may sound like crap on yours and that is the way with every exhaust system i think. at least with a custom exhaust you can tune it better

^^ I agree with 99redZ24 ^^

Personally i like to be able to control what i will or wont have on my exhasut w/ alot of $$way pricey$$ exhausts for sale you can't really do that. they come as they are.. and that's the end. If you go to a muffler shop you can have it build ANY way you want!! I previously ran a DragunFire VEX140 muffler on my '99 2200.. rest of exhasut all stock.. and it sounded so good. Had a very deep tone to it.. even through high RPM's doing 65-80 on the highway. It took me 4-5 months of looking and hearing b4 i found the muffler that i haev now. Actually this year I'm having the exhaust shop run me a CUstom catback exhaust w/ Dual DragonFire Mufflers... but i'll be adding 2 1/4" piping and a header.. so I'm still anxious to how it will all sound. but look around.. and listen.. that's the most important thing. If you're concerned about the tone.. (which i highly was) then you need to "hear" the exhaust on a cavy w/ the same motor b4 you go buying it... I was worried i'd sound like a honda and have the "wet cat fart in a can" sound.. till i found a sound clip of a DragunFire online... even on Acura's (which was the sound clip) it was deep and sounded awesome! So look around bro and check things out! Remember don't buy unless you're 180% sure you want it.

I have the flowmaster 60 series on my Z24 which has a pretty deep tone, but kind of loud at almost all RPM's. I like it, but some don't. Borla is really good, but The magnaflow site has a soundclip of a Vibe I think with their catback. I think it sounds like a ricer, but check it out.

i'm happy with my borla pro xs setup. i had a shop bend up a 2.25" catback system for me. my only complaint is that the shop did a @!#$ty job and my piping hits on the rear axle.

i'll prob be stepping up a 2.5" system with a different borla muffler from a better shop in town soon.

regardless, i have yet to hear a borla muffler sound bad on a car.

Hey man, you wouldn't happen to have a clip of your exhaust would you, I've been wanting to hear the flowmaster. If youc got a clip I would really like to hear it.

I really like my vibrant. But as far as best sounding exhaust that is a matter of personal prefrence. some people like deep and loud, some deep but mellow, and some even like raspy. I don't know why anyone would like raspy, but hey look at all those civics that sound like there powered by a supercharged weed eater motor.
to each his own, but good luck with it.

Dimebag, i do not have a soundclip, and no way yet to do it. I can tell you that at idle it sounds pretty deep, and mellow, and doesn't sound like a coffee can when you get on it. I'll try to make a soundclip.

There is not best sounding because what sounds good to me may not sound good to you. Example: Some people like the sound of Rksport set up. I don't like the sound even with a resonator. So i would ask for sound clips of exhaust set ups so you can deside what sound you like.

Personally if your looking for sound, a cherry bomb will make your car sound deep, its easy and cheap. plus you can do it yourself and learn someting.

If your looking for performance go with mega flow.

its all about power to weight

i agree. its trial and error. It really depends on your headers, intake and cat. conv. before your cat-back. I went custom.
i went with pacesetter headers , magnflow cat.conv and then 2.5 with no resonator with dual 5zigen fireball exhaust system. its sounds great for me but you got to try for you.
