There's a 4-2-1 header on ebay somewhere?

Since you can't easily port the insides of the stock mani, gains/sounds will be minimal.

John Lenko would be one to ask more about that though.

I ported my exhaust many just a little. But nothing reall happened.

Better off getting one of the 4-1 headers off ebay. Or the RK or Bils 4-2-1.

that header is a copy of the pacesetter header and is a 4 into 1 header

I ported my manifold the exhaust sounds deeper and more aggressive as far as power it is really picks up from 3,500rpm and up it pulls way harder than before. is it worth it i would say yes because it did not cost me anything just some time

see ya!

The intake manifold is plastic.....I dont really think it would be too wise to thin out the plastic runners on it. Do the HO swap or just bore the plenum and get a bigger throttle body. If you have money to burn theres always venom......

The '96-'98 exhaust manifolds have larger runners, so grab one of those and port it if you have a newer engine (use the gasket for your year to avoid EGR issues). I noticed alot more topend as well, and all it took me was time. It's a gain, but not the same gain as you will see with a header, but it looks stock if you're into that.

I was answering his question........but anyways porting the exhaust manifold isnt worth the time.... just go out and get a pacesetter header I got mine for $100 off ebay I've seen em cheap on there alot of times. Header is prolly gonna give better gains so why waste your time.

thanks for all the responces, i'm actullay not porting, its already ported and i can but it for about $80 (1999) that why i was asking what kind of gains i will see, but since ebay has them for around $100, its probably better getting a header.

Has anyone bought a header from one of these sellers, they always seem inexpensive, but no one ever bids, should i stay away?

i have the obx 4-2-1 header for the 2.2, and i got it real cheap, and im happy with it. te exhaust shop had to do some custom stuff to make it work, but its all good.
