You mean the redline?

Yeah, buy a stand alone, or wait till my software comes out, or HP Tuners software comes out.

Also, please post in the correct forum.

usually what I do to increase the RPMs is step on the gas. It's amazing. You do that and not only does the needle on the tach go up to show higher rpms, your speed increases!

redlines are set for a reason, especially in a low-end car like the j body. im sure the rev limiter can be removed... but in doing so you would definitely want to put in some higher-quality internals. dont want anything exploding on ya'

^ The rev limiter cannot be removed, even by GM dealers, the only way is to redo the computer for a standalone, or convert back to OBD-1.

when will your software be out. master automotive in red deer alberta claims that they can get the software and do it

A lot of people "claim" they can do it, but I've yet to see one prove they can, other than needing the PCM to physically take the EEPROM out and modify it.

My software is a little too far out for an ETA, but I want to have something out in 4-5 months. I don't want to make promises that I can't keep, I'm working on it everyday though.

hey Shifted your project would be absolutely genius if it worked!
(first time I've checked out your link in Sig)
The possibilities are phenomenal......
ya and I was also thinking that you could really screw up someones computer like that, good luck
I'm kinda giving up on GM's control of my car right now and I'm going with a standalone so If you need a ginnie pig computer ... and when I buy my next car in a couple of years, weather it be another good 'ole Cav or da new Cobalt I would probably be looking towards you for some reflashing
