^^Im confushed Josh.

Rtv, no. That would just look tacky and more importantly be messy. Id rather have a nice gasket just in case I wanted to take it off for whatever reason, I wouldnt have to mess with any kind of rtv.

^Right, I dont want RTV either. What I'm probably gonna do is take an uncut timing chain housing and go to an autoparts store and go into the back where they keep there racks of gaskets and start measuring up some of them...ya know find a nice vinyl/rubber gasket that is like a rectangle/square that is small enough to fit within the chain cover and then start cutting up the housing and weld thin nuts onto the backside of the chain cover where possible....obviously only putting bolts where it will be possible to weld a small thin nut on the inside of the chain housing cover and clear all the other @!#$. This is unless OEM comes out with a better way to do it.

Scammed these pics over the years.....

I looked into the Saturn gears at one point.... never got as far as holding one in my hand how ever.

There was a "Quick Change" Cover made at one point too...... it was made from 2 covers. Not sure if I have a pick anymore.

LOL....double roller cam gear...and then they only need 3 bolts to add enough tension to keep the gears together. Just doesn't make sense at all.

Polloz24 why do you say the OBX LSD is not recommended, Brandon Fetter is running one in his 486whp turbo Z24 and I have one going in my turbo hybrid???

obx have had some sort of reputation .. not saying that is bad though ... just that i have read some comments from people with obx part that have not work properly . not referring the LSD though .. i was plaining on getting that one too but .. ill better go with either phantom or team brand .. more reliable more expensive .. but reliable .. is just my opinion

thanks

I havent been around here for a while but it looks like you guys have been looking this over for a while. Its good to see some innovation I hope we can get somthing going on this. I think I'll just order the cam from napa and compare it to one of mine. and see if the cam fits and what not. It will take me a while though it seems like i'm always at work.

In the middle of my build I decided to cut the timing access cover panel in two pieces just below the bottom of the timing gear. That also means that I do have a set of adjustable gears, BUT, they are the insert style like much of what the V-8 guys use. But as for those 1.9 timing gears, that would be the @!#$ to finally see those in operation!!! Taetsh, keep up the great work.

Time to get it going again.....

Here are the pics of the inserts that I'm using. As for a pic of the cover I will have to do that tomorrow and take a few and post them up.

I bet ALL the LD9 guys would. This is something our motors are seriously lacking that we need, especially us boosted guys.

I have design.....already have a shop on line to make it, unless this other recent opportunity comes thru. My current design is highly modified with sensor pickups and other do-dads so I wasn't planning on making more than what I needed. But this could change if people are interested, but in the long history I've seen around here....if it's not near stock many people aren't interested....for some reason.
