throttle body please help me

just got my throttle body boared to 59mm, installed a cosmo racing air intake. prblem is the car will idle fine, however when given gas full throttle the car will bogg like crazy and barely run. if you ease through the rpm's everything is good. i took the car out for a drive because i was pissed off and when given gas it runs great. once i shift into 2nd gear and go to 3 thousand rpm's the car boggs for about three hundred rpms and then takes off. all vacum lines and connectors are secured. also i instaled the air sensor for the intake and the engine light is on constantly. please guys help me out. what the hell is going on

Without a scan tool of sorts, you have to unplug your battery for a good 15 mins or so.

thats it, just unplug the battery. what else might cause the car to run so @!#$ty, could it be from to much air?

You may have a problem with the iac sensor or maybe tps not sure but I'd try reseting the computer first anyways might fix the problem. If its not that make sure the throttle cable is not obstructed at all or getting stuck. There is somethign you can adjust on the cable if that is the problem.

i checked the cable and all of the senosrs and everything seems fine. why would it run fine when i am driving and run like poo when its parked and i give it gas?. im thinking ignition problem or fuel.. the secret cams wouldnt have anything to do with it, would they?

Unplugging the battery to reset the pcm is something you should always do when modding. Even if you are just putting a new intake on. Give that a try, take it for a test drive, then come back and let us know how it went.

On what engine would be helpful.

Either the IAT sensor is poorly located, such as in a hose and not in the intake path.

Or

You Put the wires of the IAT sensor in the intake but not the actual sensor, Which seems to be a pretty common mistake.

Or

you didnt reconnect the hose from your valve cover on to the new intake.

Sounds like your car is in "limp" mode, which is most common with improper IAT placement or actually hooking up the sensor. A vacume line may also be cracked, and you will still lose pressure, though it looks fine.

And did you play with anything having to do with the TB? Because for a simple inatake, you dont even touch the TB.

^^^^^^ you are all wrong. This is a TPS problem. That is what it does when the TPS is sending out the wrong voltage. Address that.

yep, tps problem.........

If it idle's fine, not a IAC motor problem, and not a vaccum problem.

TPS will cause it to bog when the throttle is opened...

Do you have an adjustable tps? I had bought another one and it had slots to adjust the position of the sensor. I know the factory has just two holes in it. Maybe it's not sitting in the right setting.

It's the sensor on the side of the throttle body. Directly across from the throttle linkage. It has two screws and looks like it could be turned forward and backward.

From one of the parts stores. I can't remember exactly which one...Auto Zone, O'rielley's or Napa. Those are the three by me. I want to say Auto Zone. If you adjust it too much the shift light doesn't come on and too far the other way the check engine light comes on. I'm hoping not to get that problem when I hook up my S-AFC II. I think you can modify your stock sensor. It should look like it would slide back and forth but there are two molded holes on it. You could probably file those out and open up the "track" were you could adjust it. I didn't really ever notice any difference when I adjusted mine around though. Maybe it would show something on the dyno. Just guessing.
