Why did we lose interest in ID's intake Manifold
Wednesday, March 09, 2005 12:29 PM
For those of you who remember. I think the beggining of last year Induction Dynamics created an intake manifold for the 2.4 that resembled the HO manifold but the ports were matched to the 2.4 head. And the over all designed was cleaned up and looked beautiful.

For pics go to the Induction Dynamics site ....

I emailed them to see if they still sold it and they told me that after the prototype was made there was lack of interest so it never went into production. And if at least 9 people showed interest they would produce it.

I was just curious what happened. Did we drop the ball on this or was there something else?
Price?
Material used?
Design?
( I forget)

Say it with me, "Its not what you know...It's what you can prove"

Also the design required the relocation of the battery, not a big deal, but an issue. Price would have to be the main deterrent, and have they ever posted dyno results?

yea it was like 1200 or 1500 for the manifold, why not just spend some more and get the GM charger. i think we might see a manifold from some company in the future.

Sheeeeit...... if SVCs getting one, I need to have 2......

ID's intake..... WAY TO MUCH MONEY!!!!!!! Like URWEAK said, might as well buy a manifold with a blower attached to it for a few bucks more....... That and they went off the HO design, when it would have been eaiser to make a log manifold, short runner design, for boosted apps....
