stereo

i am considering putting a stereo system in my 84 hatch and was wondering if anyone had ideas... can the deck be installed in the glove box because it would make it less likely to be stolen and then i could keep the look of the interior stock. .... i think my stock spekaers may be blown so i was thinking of either getting a whole system or just speakers....... what have you guys put in your first gens?

I have JL's in the front top dash 3/5 inch and boston acoustics 6/9 in the rear and have a panasonic head unit with detachable face plate.U can see pics of it on my cardomain of the radio. My old unit is gone and have a kit to make the aftermarket fit like a glove where the oem one was and clean.I spent about 350.00 total on my stuff and ran new speaker wiring for all four speakers neatly, from the rear I ran it just like it was thru the wiring channels and such all the way to the front.I am happy with my simple set up and did all the work myself.
