Got a 94 with 313000 miles. It was my dad's so it's kinda sentimental to me. 2.2 liter. Just trying to find out what other year 2.2s will go in. I'm new and am just looking to find another engine to have on standby. Please help

Do you want it to be a 2.2? a 2l is like a dime a dozen at my local pick n pull.
I think if it is not burning thru oil or had a major over heat why not just get it rebuilt?I know a used engine would be a swap but,if the block is solid get it redone and yeah the cost is higher however the upside is a true fresh new engine as long as the car overall is solid.Just a alternate thought.
Anything from 94-97 would be easiest. Keep in mind that's for a longblock with no accessories. If you wanted to get into swapping parts between donors, you could use anything 92-00.
