Going in now. Problem is I was counting on the bushings being 9 years old and crumbly. Instead it looks like they're 1 year old and @!#$ stuck in like a mother. Any suggestions? I was thinking of using a 3 jaw puller backwards (as a 3 jaw pusher, with the jaws on the axle and stuff, might just cut it with a knife though cause I dont have a puller).

fire. melt the stubborn @!#$s out and cut out the outer sleeve. or drop the whole axle and press the whole things out.

Id say cut the rubber out the best you can and use a hack saw or sawzall and cut a small section out of the metal sleeve. Then it should pop out easy?
Its stuck to the trailing arm, like glued or melted. Ended up drilling done holes cutting with a saws all and then burning and scraping. Now to press it in, thinking of using a 3 jaw puller our running a bolt through it with big washer on the back.

those bushings are ridiculous..... like jon d said, best bet really is to just set the bastids a blaze. thats what i did... and it STILL took forever.
well @!#$. they're beyond press fit size. I'm @!#$ I'm going to have to rig something up to turn down the od. i was bending 1/8 inch steel with my press setup trying to press them in, no @!#$ chance they're going in as is. I cant find my damn calipers either. 1 and 29/32th vs 1 and 13/16 thats 3/32th press fit. Note that was done with a ruler and a compass.

There wasnt one, not that I could find. Unless it was painted over. Too late now, they're both turned down to fit. At worse I buy another set once I'm not in a "@!#$ this needs to happen now mode". And if Jeffe isnt making more I'll bight the bullet and order the stock and do it myself (although I have no idea how he sold these so cheap, the stock costs nearly as much as he charged for them).

Yes, no. I'll investigate further tomorrow. There must be a sleeve. Maybe the shop that replaced them like painted over to prevent rust or something. The sleeve looks like a sleeve the a flange on the outside right? Like there's a seam in outer surface of the cylinder and not on the face, right? I'll look tomorrow. Ordered stock for it and I'll make new ones at the school this week I guess, I had a bit of a balancing issue and roundness is crap, surface finish isnt bad, cylintricity is meh, co-cylintricity is the measurement that really really matters and I dont think it ended up too bad since the flange sits flat.

I just want to say. Wow. These took my slalom to the next level. The car rotates comfortably and controllably in the slaloms and now I'm actually getting tons of heat into the rear tires. Definite improvement in feel of the back of the car too. I cant wait to get the rear bar installed to help with the sweepers.
