Billet Rear Control Arm Bushings

Just wanted to let you guys know that we have designed and produced a Billet style rear control arm bushing. More specs are down below. if there is a Group Buy interest let us know.

Mark

The factory Bushings are far from par, most of your clunks come from LCA (Lower Control Arm) bushings going out. We have developed a bushing using a spherical ball socket to eliminate the amount of give the arm will produce increasing the handling and traction overall. These units are made of 6061-T6 aluminum and are a bolt in for a FE3-FE1 arm.

Specs-
Material Housing- 6061-T6
CNC machined
SS 1/4-28 Flat screws
2 pin holes for alignment
Bolt in design
Com 14 T PTFT lined bearing
SS- 316 spacers

Cool design, just a little concerned about using a UNF to hold together threaded aluminum?
You going to want to have a torque spec on these for the spherical shell to seat correctly, and it will not be consistent going into aluminum.

Just my thoughts, otherwise, very cool.

So this is for a control arm, just the rear bushing?

Any picks installed in a control arm?

Rear, control arm bushing looks like. In other words its the rear bushing for the front control arm. the one that sits horizontal

It depends. They will pivot up to 20 degrees. I am not sure how far the factory units go. Basically you will be limited by the thickness of the outside lip which is 1/8" thick.

I'm so glad 2nd gens use horizontal bushings. Why GM ever went to vertical is beyond me.

This is a nice piece. Is the bearing press fit and SS?

Minor correction: 16* of pivot, not 20*.
Just read the cut sheet.

You know I had 16 down and then changed it. must be the com9t that pivot to 26 degrees. Either way......

Hmmm pricing? I just bought Prothane bushings last month to put in, but I might be interested in these.

Will they work in the ga aluminum arms?

Are Ga arm considered FE5? Let me take a look, but they should.

Yes they look to fit. I would just need to have a few dimensions to confirm:

-Thickness of the aluminum where the bushing goes through
- Bushing OD or the thru hole in the arm

Mark, would you be able to show an install possibly for fitment?
Stronger and durable bushings are key for us air ride fellas.
Id be interested as i blew a ball joint last year, and just upgraded my control arms.
if theres an upgrade option, id jump on these so im not chancing it again this year with all the new work ive done.

I think the GA control arms are considered FE3. I know the Jbody Prothane bushings fit them just fine.

I know the prothane brushing fit but Im guessing the tolerances for the press fit are a bit more forgiving on the bushings vs. A metal spherical joint

omfg thats sick

It's nice to be injected but I love being blown.
