'01 2.4 to '98 or '99 2.4 questions

I poped the motor on my race car last season and the previous owner had given me this spare motor,I put it in, but am i missing something cause there's one relay that doesn't have a spot, It goes down towards the oil pan. I'm at a complete lose on it. It also has a knock that i can't place, i ran it with the knock for a race and it didn't blow (unfortunately) I'm hoping i didn't get stuck with a effed motor? Is there anything i should worry about with this motor, the motor is coming out this weekend, hopefully to replace the head and try and figure out this knocking.... If anyone has any input on what that relay or the knock could be, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a 2.4 from a grand am that had a sensor in the oil pan. Is this what you have? It doesnt hook to anything on the cavalier.

The only LD9 powered j-body that had a oil sensor in the pan was the 96 model year.
