or me

97 Don't use it the wiring and PCM are different from other years and is a wonky year much like a 95 J body
04+ you have to becarefull they where still Series II except in the Grand Prix they where Series III and require more work

00+ js are a little different since they use 2 serial data lines where as the Ws don't i just started looking at this for a guy with an 01 J body, trying to see if theres a wya on the 00+ if you can use the J body Gauges since they get info differently then 99 looks like you will still need autometer gauges

on a 99 the only 2 gauges that worked where Speed and fuel and every idiot light is on except shift up i swapped in 3 3/8 tach and speedo and 2 1/6th Volt, Boost, water temp, fuel level got them all to fit in the stock cluster hole i have no guage pods on mine

LMFAO...not only is this post a massive run-on pile of poo, but so is your screen name.

Yes, this swap is becoming pretty common, as is the 3100/3400 swap.

You have to cut up all your frame rails for the 3800 swap, not worth it.
Just put in a 572 big block, that bolts right in and you can use your stock 2.4 tranny aswell.

Sweet! Series II! That will be AWESOME! Even bone stock, those turn out 240hp/ 280tq at the flywheel!

That thing's gonna SCREAM! I just got a series I L67 for my '93 Z24 and I can't wait to put it in! (225hp/275tq, i think)

Just a plug for Dynamic EFI... I'm using the EBL P4 Flash ECM in my Z24 right now. It is a '7730 ECM with an Embedded Locker Board soldered in (whatever that means).

All I know is that it's basically a GM ECM but it is FULLY tun-able. It even tunes itself, and even better, it integrates with a WB for more precise tuning. It can support 1, 2, and 3-bar MAPS, has integrated NOs control, and will even track your mileage while hooked up to your laptop. OH! and it has a Valet mode, so if you wanna loan out the car, your friend or g/f won't get into TOO much trouble... ha ha.

They also have a new ECM out, based on a GM ECM: called the SFI V6, I think. I wish I had that one, but I just bought the other one and can't afford another ~$500.00 since mine works fine. The only difference I know is the P4 is batch-fire and the SFI is well, SFI.

I love it though, because as long as you get the correct CKP package, it will run a 3X00, 3800, N/A, Turbo, S/C, NOs, whatever you want. I sure makes swaps easy (at least for me).

No trans control tho. But I don't need that anyway!

I'm gonna have to solder a FEW harnesses at the engine, but it sure makes for an easy swap.

Another thing I noticed when my friend and I were pulling this motor...

The series I L67 appears to have an intercooler in the LIM or S/C... I can't tell yet- too dirty!

Anyway, it looks like the water pump pulls water out of the block and circulates it through the I/C and then into the heater core.

I wonder if a re-plumb job might make it work a little better... I am not trying to out guess the engineers, but I have a different goal than they might have.

Simply install a heat exchanger between the W/P and the I/C? Seems like that could only help! IF what I am looking at is indeed an I/C... I will post when I find out!

There isn't an IC available for these engines that I know of, but I've seen a very nice custom one made for one that was swapped into a truck. IIRC, it was a Tacoma, but I could be wrong.
