eco swap ? on donor car

So i found a car that was totaled from the side in the quater on craigslist for 650, its a 02 with a eco has 106k on, i wanna do an eco swap and bulid the motor/trans. would it worth it to buy and bulid this engine completly for boost or is the block have to many miles and same for trans?

the only reason i'd say no isn't because of the miles, it's because of the fact that it's an 02 eco.

Iffy about that due to the care of the engine...


Ecos are hardy, but you still want a good donor....

I did the eco swap and i love it! The biggest thing with it is if your donor car parts are good or not. For instance you will have to change and go with the eco fuel system upgrade if you were say swapping over a 2200. If the donor car has good parts go for it. the ecotec has great potential and their is a lot of mods out their for it. I would almost say to you why not just buy a lsj with trans for around 3000?

nope will deff look it up, im lookin to bulid a street legal summer like 500 whp car after eco swap. with the rite turbo... anyone got advice on a turbo to help?

Just because it's an Eco, does NOT mean it drops right in. For one, the F35 transmission is not the same as the our F23. It's a bit bigger. It won't just magically fit in there... Then you have to wire the ENTIRE car, as a Cobalt (have fun with that). Among other things.

Please don't direct someone in the wrong direction without any knowledge to back up your comment.
