Ok so this is just an idea but what if you wire your shift light into your purge wire? So you could set your shift light for like whatever you want and when you wanted to show off you could set the light to lets say 4500 and when you hit that and it sends the signal (12 volts) to your shift light your purge will go off too lol. You could just splice into the shift light wire and hook the purge in it as well. Of course you could have another switch that deactivates it from working that way but I thought that would be a cool idea...

sounds like a neat idea, but what you should do is have the shift light go to a relay and have the relay control the solenoid. just to ensure the solenoid has the right voltage and current to open and close properly....basically its like using the shift light as an rpm activated switch

yea lol it was just one of my weird ideas. when i get my car back together i might try it and see if it works

it should work...i don't see any reason why it shouldn't work....and it does seem like a cool idea, and a ton cheaper than an rpm window switch

cause you wont have to push the button and it will purge at the same time everytime you want it to...

Wont you stop being able to see it after like second gear though?
Thats right, keep on killing innocent people and @!#$ everything up for others..YOU ARE TEH WIN
haha yea you can. Ill wire it with another switch so that i can turn it on and off so i can have it do it when i want it to...

I think I have a problem then..
When I purge my nitrous from a stop nothing but Air comes out of my purge line?
Is this because its 30 degrees out and I'm without a bottle heater?

this almost sounds like one of those pranks where you wire someone's horn to their turn signal wires.
BAHAHAHA THATS GREAT i might have to try that now to some unsuspecting victim "evil laugh" heh heh heh

"

it would be even better if you had it wired so everytime you hit the gas or break it went off haha

how about get napalm and hook it to their ignition switch since napalm is detonated by electricity then when he/she turns it on..... and the room gets quite.....
i'm just playing i wouldn;t know hot to make napalm in the first place...
you guys are nuts. i laughed for like five minutes when read the horn thing. i got to wire a keyless entry system for a friend soon, heh heh heh.
anyway, mikec2003 is correct. chances are that the voltage out of the shift LED is 5 vlots. therefore, you would need a relay. sounds like a good idea though
