Splitter will not make a noticeable difference unless there is noise on the line.
As far as the D vs AB debate. My stand is that class D DOES come at a cost. A literal one. The efficiency of the class D design leaves room for powerful processing that eliminates the degrading effects of typical class D amps and puts them head and shoulders above AB.
The old saying that AB always trumps D for sound quality is no longer true. It was true in 1999 (as with a lot of things in car audio), but not anymore.
again if your running your 4 channel amp in 2 channel mode you don't need splitters. just 1 set of rca plugs.
and although im personally running class a/b amps to my sub for my sq build. unless your competing in sq there is no problem whatsoever running a class d amp on your sub end. and i'd still put money down that nobody on here could pick out the diffrence between a class ab and class d on a quality sub setup.

Careful the "basjunkie" who runs Crescendo products and is building a wall to compete in SPL comps will challenge your SQ and tuning knowledge and argue to the death he can hear a difference.......
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Dampening Factor...Nuff said. I'm done here.
It's called damping factor.
And is irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Ah yes damping, my bad. Not very irrelevant though.

It effects the sound in a very very minimal way. It doesn't even stand a chance trying to control sub bass.

Correct, and in a very minimal way is what i'm talking about. It doesn't need the extra damping because it has better control to begin with because of it being a class a/b amplifier.
Too drunk to go any further with this, maybe tomorrow.
