tuning lower; extending the slot port

alright, my box is almost ready and i currently have it tuned at 35 hz which is alright for the subs i am using..
but down the road i am going to want to tune them a little lower - around 30-32 hz.
for that i will have to extend the port about 10 '', is there a way to do this, like fiberglassing for example or simply stick in additional 10'' of mdf in there along with silicone adhesive?

if you are savvy enough with wood to do that kind of modification, why not just build a new box when the time comes and sell your current one to some turd who needs a box? That's what I would do. Probably the same amount of effort and time, but a much cleaner and more sensible option.

keep it at 35 youll be happy. if you chose the sa's the subwoofers wil extend far below tuning if you went with about 11-12 sq in or port per cube

If you intend to increase the port length id try to build the box so you can increse the port length without hurting the looks or location of the box. wouldnt take much to extend the port out 10" if you have the space to do it. esp if its a quare wood type port. or as jl suggested just make a new box.
