How to Fix Radio Plug
Thursday, July 28, 2011 11:30 PM
In the process of installing my new deck, I realized that my radio signal plug was just dangling there by a thread. It is only being held on by one little wire in the middle. All the metal is basically disconnected from the wire casing and shielding.

How do I go about fixing this? Solder or crimp a new one?

It's the antenna cable.

never had to fix an antenna cable.. Not sure how these ones are run.. since they go to the back of the car.. Another thing is, if you have a new deck why you need the antenna?

it still needs to plug in to the back of the deck for radio.

It's just coax, so as long as you can reconnect the inner conductor and the outer shield and isolate them from each other, you should be good.
