Hello everyone,

I have a question about the wiring on a four channel amp. My stereo unit has i total of 9 RCA outputs:

2-front left
2-front right
2-rear left
2-rear right
1-sub

How would I wire the 8 RCA outputs to the 4 channel amp? What I was thinking was getting Y adapters and combing the 2 from each set into one and then id only have four. Is that right? Please help lol.

Uhh what model head unit? This isn't making sense in my head. I've never seen a setup like that. Something is being left out here.

Crap i forgot to update. I acutually got it figured out. I was way off im at work and i was trying to remember the unit and for some reason came up with 8 RCA cables lol sorry.

thinking he meant 9 wires, not 9 rca connections

Each red/white pair is a single channel that corresponds to a single channel on your amp.
Unfortunately, with just a 4-channel amp, you're gonna be stuck leaving either a sub or your rear speakers unamped.

Silly me, disregard that pair on the right. That's probably an input, not output.
From top-bottom, those inputs should be front, rear, and sub.

yeah the red pair under the yellow video in and out is likely audio in. is that a pioneer?
