Having problems with HID's
Wednesday, August 08, 2012 6:58 PM
Ok, so today I installed my hid kit and I cant get it to work properly. I used a relay harness for it. Only the driver side comes on and that's when the car is both not started and started. I reversed the polarity on the passenger side and then it worked but the the driver side didn't work. Then I reversed the polarity on both sides and neither of them worked. What is wrong. I need help. I have a 2002 z24 and the lights I bought are bi-xenon

Are you connecting the main power from the HID kit relay direct to Battery, or through the OEM light harness?

Some kit's require to be warmed up with power.

Other kits require direct 14V using the power wire that comes with the kit instead of through the 18g OEM harness wire.

If you can try connecting direct if you haven't this might help.

Other than that, check your voltage and amps with a reader to see if you have a bad gorund or power connection.
