I'm feeling generous today..

What model number is it? (ex. deh-600ub). Having had a pioneer head unit before, I know you need a special ipod cable from pioneer that runs it unless the headunit has a usb input. You also have to enable that function in the setup menu.

With the car ON, turn the radio off so that it is powered but is on standby (time should be displayed on the head unit).
-Press and hold the "mulit-ball" or middle button until the menu pops up.
-Scroll through the settings by turning the multi-ball
-Select the proper menu by pressing the multi-ball in (in your case it should say something like "aux input" or "aux input 2")
-Turn the function on and enjoy
