You would have to install actuators in both doors in order to enable this function. They run in the neighborhood of about 10 bucks apiece.

You take off the door panels, and follow the instructions.

its not like a car battery. its a backup battery for the alarm. without one a theif can stick his arm up under your car, snip the battery wire and your alarm is now worthless.

Please don't be cheap and get something like that. Save your money and get a viper or audiovox model. I have these in my car for a little over 2 years now with no trouble at all and worth every penny. Very easy to install comes with everything you need.

These are the actuators I generally use:

http://12voltshop.com/browse.asp?cat=1147&path=1,1147

you'll prolly also need a few relays:

http://12voltshop.com/proddetail.asp?prodid=HR5K&cat=14&path=1,14

-- Once you buy the alarm, almost all of them will give you detailed instructions on hooking the actuators up to it. (Ungo & Viper do anyway)

I'd also have to agree with 95vet: Don't go that cheap on the alarm. It won't last.
