keyless entry...
Saturday, March 19, 2005 1:44 PM
Is it possible to connect it to the horn so each time i lock the car it makes a sound? Thats because each time i lock from a distance i don't know if its locked or not. I have a weak dome light so its hard to see. Or is there anything i can buy to make a noise? I don't have money for an alarm right now

Why not just lock the car before you close the door?

i have a 97 cavalier RS 2.2 5 sp, anyways i got a keyless entry from the dealer and its same as yours, you can hear it click, but ya no flashing headlights or beeps, it sucks, but just lock the door before u get out, or stand 2 feet away and hear it click, if u dont like doing that buy an alarm with keyless entry

Hit the lock button a second time within 5 seconds, and the horn should honk.

I don't know for sure about 95-99 cars, but the 2000+ cars can be 'personalized' using a Tech 2 diagnostic tool, so that they honk with the first push of the lock button on the remote... as opposed to the second. Might be possible with the 95-99 cars, but I'm not sure.
