has anyone ever used a AEM standalone or piggyback unit to tune their Cavalier??? because I might go that route but I gotta do more research on the issue but inputs and knoledge from u fellaz would be appreciated,

The only piggy backing I have seen is with mega squirt on 2nd gens. I have a megasquirt 3 with msx addon and knock kit.. It supports sfi, 2 stage nitrous, launch control and a ton of other things and its a pretty straight forward setup. You can even build them yourself and save a few hundred. Your biggest problem is gonna be finding a unit that support the stock 7x wheel better off running newer crank with 58x wheel and have more options for standalones
