Or instead of getting bigger injectors just use it to drive an additional injector or two...

that's just barely more ghetto than an fmu. not a good solution, esp if you have an emanage, and you can step up and run some real injectors.

feedback wideband o2 is cool, but tuning fuel on a wideband isn't that tough, and once it's set, it's pretty much done.

the tough part with tuning fuel with a wideband isn't keeping the car @ a specific a/f ratio, it's finding out what a/f ratio to run.

Mr. Pute, will I still need the wideband controller or can I plug the wideband sensor into the stock location. I'm a little confused.

The wideband sensor still needs the controller. Your controller should have a linear wideband output signal. THAT'S what you'd plug into the emanage with this update.

Looks like there may just be some hardware changes between the blue and gold units, according to many on the yahoo emanage group...hopefully there will be some solid light shed on the subject soon.

Did any of you guys do the hardware modification inside the E-manage or are you just updating the support tool software and the main unit firm ware?

Thanks.

I performed the hardware modification as well. Haven't seen a difference other than the version number changing to 1.xxK

As before, I can still get a wideband signal through the boost connector.

I personally didn't see any difference outside of what I already had by doing the software only upgrade.

Hallellujah!

You can't tell the engine what AFR will be best. You can pick an AFR then look at your tuning tools (WBO2, plug readings, tailpipe appearance, knock counts, EGT's) to see if it's the best AFR.

Nice to see someone else has BTDT.
