Well i got no help at all. I dont care about that tread , i was just reading it . I just asked thats why this site is @!#$ anymore because noone wants to help . I know alot about cars but just dont have the money to spend 6 to 7000 on a turbo kit that will still need a FMU , A tune and all that . If you dont wanna answering my second part of the question then thats fine . dont worry about it . ill just do my own research and find out before bluecavvy has another fag attack and pops another hemroid out.

this only looks ok if you want a turbo that will give out on you sooner than later.

if you really want to install it, you'll need to build your internals. And you will spend epic hours trying to make it fit and install. You will also need to understand it will not be a clean looking install. finally if you want relyable boost, you'll need to save up for a higher quality turbo kit.

look i'm going to be nice here, it was explained in the other thread that u obviously saw. don't buy ebay @!#$! u want to buy something from ebay buy a strut bar, buy an intake. these things cannot hurt ur engine. a bad turbo build can. this is why it was explained in the other thread to stay away from ebay turbo kit's.

if u want to come out and start being personal about it that's fine, but like i said, i'm being nice here and telling you that you should stay away from ebay garbage. if you don't wanna listen to me or other's that's fine. don't be upset when ur car is affected in a bad way from a garbage product.

save ur money, do it once, do it right.

Re: turbo kit
Monday, January 25, 2010 8:08 PM
what are u talking about same horse power??
Re: turbo kit
Monday, January 25, 2010 8:10 PM
2200 stock = 92 Horsepower to the wheels...

8 - 12 PSI turboed 2200 averages about 150 Horsepower to the wheels

LD9 stock averages 150 horsepower to the wheels

Re: turbo kit

and chris npt gonna lie this u need a lot. this kit dosnt come with anygaskets no hardware. u need to coustom make a down pipe. boost guage, wide band oil pressure. and alot of exhaust. and the charge pipe also known as intercooler piping is what connects to the throttle body from the inter cooler which on the other side connects to the turbo. thats where the air from the turbo gose to get to the thorttle body. also ur water line is goin to be in the way of the wastegate so u need to make some else to be able to use that manifold or buy a wastegate relocate.

hey look at that u can copy and paste. thats average. where did u get this info
Re: turbo kit
Monday, January 25, 2010 8:32 PM
where did i copy and paste?????

GM put the numbers down for the baseline HPs, and 8 - 12 lbs of boost usually averages 50 - 60 hp at best... there are a lot of people on here that have turboed their 2.2 just to end up running with the LD9s and the Ecos... and while its totally possible, it takes a whole lot more $ and modifications to make a 2200 exceed 200 WHP than it does for an Eco or an LD9.

Re: turbo kit

Well go on turbo kits.com and it was saying with a hahns kit that on 8 psi it will make 180 hp to the wheels .... dyno was on there

just wanted to point out.... no, not at all lol. LD9 has 150 at the crank, and translates to around 110-120 at the wheels

If i am not mistaken, didnt the exhaust flange change from the 2.2 to the 2200? If that is the case how can the kit work from 95-02 Cavaliers with the 2.2/2200??

Re: turbo kit

^^ Exactly, I believe the flanges did change between the two.

To be honest, i kinda love these threads lol. If we beat these kids down hard enough, maybe they'll give up and buy a Civic or SRT4 lol.
