clutch interchange?

so im getting ready to bolt a getrag transmission to my 97 2.2ohv. I was going to buy a clutch for the 02 transmission, but after test fitting the 97 clutch onto the 02 shaft, im wondering if these clutches are interchangeable. What is the difference from the 96-99 and the 2000-2002?

well ive found out that the clutches in fact are interchangeable. The difference is the 97 uses a clutch disk that is 8 1/2" across the face and the 00+ uses a disk that is 8 7/8" across the face.. the real big difference is the flywheel, but even those are interchangeable. Both disks use the same size shaft with 14 splines. In short you can use either clutch/flywheel in either transmission, but you have to use the same year style flywheel for the same year style clutch. IE 97 flywheel has to use 97 clutch, 2000 flywheel has to use 2000 clutch. would anyone be interested in weights of matching components? As a circle tracker trying to shed weight im sure there is some difference in the 2 setups.
