205's on stock 15's

I have stock 15'' rims on my 00 cavy and i'm wondering if 205's would fit fine instead of the 195's...

If so, should i go 205/60 ?

Your toughts...

Thanks!

i had a set of 205/60R15's before, they were acceptable. a touch on the larger side, but acceptable

if you can find them (good luck) you can go as wide as 225/55R15's. that size was only ever made for early 90's BMW 5-series though...

The 14's on my car would have had a 215 from the factory, but they do also belong on a Calais 442 W41.

If you're not lowered, simply stepping up one section width should be fine without lowering the aspect ratio.
Your speedo will be a little bit slow, but nothing major, and you shouldn't have any rubbing issues.

I didn't think you could go as wide as 225!

I might consider some 215's then!

If you are about to buy tires why not try to find some Z wheels and go a little bigger on the wheel and tires? Just something to think about if you didn't before.

I actualy own those 16'' rims from the Z but i much prefer my black steel rims. I know that sounds weird but its just the way it is.. lol

Thanks anyways.

That is mine, but not so sexy any more cause the wheels got jacked a few weeks ago before I got to take them off. So I'm a little sore about that right now still.

Yeah, 205-60's woud be the ideal size, i do this kind of thing every day, and yes they will fit. They look good like that, and your speedo will not even be off by 1 mph. to be actual, you are going 60mph when it reads 60.7 mph.
