Spline drives on stock rims??
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 7:29 AM
It's winter time here and I want to put my winter rims on. I forgot I got rid of my stock lug nuts and I need to get my wheels on ASAP.

Can I use my spline drives I have on my aftermarket wheels on mystickers till I get a chance to grab some stock lug nuts?

Is the lug nut seat angles the same?

I tried splines on my stock wheels. Always ended up with a lose one after a few 100 miles. Make sure its conical like stock lugs.

if the conical seat is different then i wouldn't recommend it but hell most of the seats i've ever came across are 60degree like factory. I use my gorilla spline drives on stock wheels with no issues.

I used spline drives on my Z wheels, no problems at all.

I put them on with the splines..no issues.

Talked to a local tire shop and they said the only cars that have issues is some hondas and vw's. But chevs all have the standard taper.
