rim choice

hey guys, so i've decided to get a new set of rims and im stuck between to rims, need some opinions (keep in mine i have picked up a new set of 225 45 17's)

first is a set of drag dr 11's 17X7 in gunmetal
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/wheels/drag/product/submitProductSize.do?pc=47173&tmn=DR-11&typ=Car%2FMinivan

the only thing that bugs me about these is that with having 225's for tires, they are going to hang out over the lip a bit more then what i think i like, but i really like the looks of these rims

the other set is a set of drag dr33's also in gunmetal, 17X7.5
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/wheels/drag/product/submitProductSize.do?pc=22800&tmn=DR-33&typ=Car%2FMinivan

these will have very little tire over hang, but are also very similar to my current rims and not sure if i want to go something similar or go with something different such as the 33's. also i find that the 11's look like a smaller rim because of the 2" lip that is on them, and i like the bigger look of the 33's.

anyone with thoughts or opinions would be great thanks!

honestly, I'm not too much a fan of either. How about these? MB wheels.

does anyone know if a 17X8 with 46 mm offset fit? or is that going to be to wide of a wheel?

8" isn't too wide... but that offset is pretty high though.

I knew the 8" wasn't to wide I'm just a little worried about the 8" rim, with the 46mm offset. I know +35 will fit just curious about 46.

If not then I will have to run with the 17x7 +42

Just double checked and the 17X7 are +48 not +42

17x7 +48 should be fine, I think my 17x7s are +47... maybe.

Good luck!!

Are your sure? I don't wanna drop money on a set of rims and have them not fit. I had someone tell me that I can't go anymore then a +42 on a 7" wide rim

I'll mount one up tomorrow and measure the distance from lip to strut and let you know.
What size tires are you going with?

I had a 17x7 I think +42 and it only rubbed full clock and I was lowered quite a bit. Also for the 225/45/17 they didnt hang over too much in my opinion... I looked at it as a rim guard. I could lay my wheels down any direction and not hit the rim. Also if I hit pot holes the tire took the damage more so than the rim would.
