96, never cracked, 99, never cracked, my 03, still good....wife's 03, cracked lol. Luck of the draw I guess.

Has anyone considered just gluing the remaining pieces of this trim piece together, then covering it with something that can be molded to cover it smoothly? I was thinking this faux leather shelf liner? It would make the hard plastic look much better. 18 inches wide and six feet long for $15? If you're careful cutting and trimming that's enough for two cars...

I'm going to check some local stores and see if I can find something similar. Otherwise I've got Amazon Prime and won't have to pay shipping or anything. It might be worth it.

that sucks that you have to do that much work for the cavalier upper dash. my GT you just pop out the defroster vent cover and that valance pops out lol takes all of 30 seconds
