My Cavalier headlight reminder isn't working i looked for the fuse but i didn't see anything, also it doesn't work when you first start the car, like i said i keep leaving my headlights on, and its getting aggravating, you guys would be a great help, thanks a lot.

what year and do you have the stock radio or an aftermarket in it?

Its a 2003 ls sport coupe, and its the stock radio.

hmmm, is the chime supposed to only go off when the door is open? if so, does your dome light work, might be the door switch.

Well its doesnt go off when you first start the car, or leave the lights on for say. and yes the dome light works.

Fox, I had this problem too. Same exact symptoms. Mine started working again after a replaced the speakers in the doors. They were blown out. The car is still sending the signal to the speaker but if the speaker is blown then you will not hear the chime. It is only sent to the driver door speaker. Try replacing it if you can and see if the works. You should be able to get one from a junkyard car cheap. Hope this helps.
