Prob not a whole lot diff in construction, however the geometry may be slightly diff but if it's a matter of price, I'd say jus go cheaper. Not alot that could go wrong I'd think but I am not familiar with shifters. However if u jus want the shifter shorter and don't care bout a true short throw then maybe consider chopping it urself.

Uh, the bottom end is longer to allow the shorter throw.
You can't just cut it.

Sorry I never replied guys I totaled my 03 but just got an 05 I'm in the middle of swapping everything over I ended up getting the rz ralco short shifter I think I made the right choice it's super comfy and makes shifting loads better. Just the weight of it alone makes it smother shifting between gears than the light weight stock shifter and I can actually keep my arm flat on the console until fifth gear while I'm just cruzing around.
