I'm looking into buying a new car but I don't like the size of the speedometer. The 100 km/h mark is set too far to the left and it's hard to tell how fast your going. I am wondering if it's possible to replace it with an aftermarket cluster that has different spacing on the numbers. I guess the question is: does the rate of travel on the speedo needle depend on the guage cluster or on the speed sensors in the front end? If I put in a different cluster, would it give me the wrong reading?
