How hard is it to redo interior?

Allright everyone i need ur experiences...How long would it take to remove dash, possibly dye carpeting, paint dash doors all plastic, dye top dash pad and reassemble?
My rents think my car will be out of commision too long to do, so thanks for the opinions



Help me out over on redline forums, i need it...my s/n is atf1987 if it asks

i would say a week or more to do it right and not look like walmart..

You can remove almost your entire interior and still have a drivable car. As long as you have the gauge cluster, steering wheel & associated arms, driver's side seat & seatbelt, the car won't be out of commission.

it can be done in a weekend if you bust your ass, at least all the major stuff. i would just buy all new carpet rather than dying.

If you want to remove the entire dash, the gauge cluster has to come out.

It can still be plugged in without the dash in the car.

which one is it, i remove it and plug it back in and it will work...from what i read ur post says bot things...how hard is it to paint and what not...i'll prolly do rattle can very carefully cause i dont have an hvlp gun yet

My posts do not say both things. Read it slower; you'll understand eventually.

You remove the gauge cluster in order to remove the dash (very large object, not the top of the dash), because the cluster sits in the dash. After the dash is removed, you can plug your cluster back in and it will work fine. You just need a place to mount it.
