Im in the process of painting my interior and need an opinion from you all, Im painting lower half of dash, doors and lower half of console silver; and door handle surround, cluster guage bezel and top half of console blue. my question is what should I paint the steering column cover behind the steering wheel?

A - BLUE
B - SILVER
C - WHATEVER IDEA YOU MAY HAVE

Agree with the masses, just leave it as it is. If its the stock blue, having a blue interior would clash, silver would be too flashy and you have the best interior color already, IMO. You should consider starting with painting the dash bezel and take it from there. Its a whole lot easier to do it one step at a time then paint the whole interior, decide it looks like crap, then try to switch back. If you do that, then the blue wouldnt look bad. You should really post some pics and give us an idea of what you want to do.

i'll disagree with the masses. go with whatever color you are using for the underside of the dash.

but make sure the panels are sanded smooth as a babies butt, and use automotive paint that matches the cars color exatcly or its just going to look like something out of the early 90's.
