Dye-ing the dash, while its still in the car...

Has anyone attempted this? I've heard that its nasty stuff, stains everything it touches basically. Is that true? As long as I mask everything off and cover it, I should be ok...

Stain is as it says, stain. I don't think there would be a problem doing it inside the car, but you are risking getting it on the window, interior, etc. Just save yourself the trouble and take off the dash.

yeah....why not just take it out? its only a few bolts and would save you time and work in the end. plus if you mask it off to stain it, youre more than likely not going to mask it perfectly and prob will be able to see it

i agree. It sounds like more work to mask everything properly than it does to just take it out.
