Thanks again for your support!! As for the question, 1 day.

hahaha ...the shop...nice.

Comment by the coma: I have respect for the money being dished out for it, just the respect of doing it yourself isnt there.

This is what this has been about, not someone saying anything bad about my car, but for them disrespecting me. I have thanked many people several times throughout this post for negative feedback.

Quote:

Your car looks like crap.

Quote:

Alright people... duck... she's gonna blow!!!!!!!!

This isn't what its about. So what if people don't like the car, I do and so does my husband. But when they disrespect me I will say something back. I haven't said one thing back about someone talking negative about my car except one person and that is Ruen because every thread of mine he has said something uncalled for. Other than that I have taken the negative comments and thought about what people have suggested and looked at the car to see if they were right and if it would help. I'm sorry that I won't take bullsh*t from people especially when they try to put me down over body work.

Quote:

i hope somebody rams into your car and the insurance doesnt give you alot of money for all the work you put into it

I hope you aren't serious because if you are this is so childish. I have special insurance through a company that handles cars that have lots of modifications and money into them that a normal insurance company wouldn't handle. So my car is covered and I made sure of that before I started on the project.

"i am the first girl to go this extreme and to me that should earn alot of respect."

Sorry, I can name a handfull of girls right now that have more modded cars than that..

This is the org, and in the j-body world, I am right now the first to go this extreme(girl wise) and yes it should earn some respect because many of the cars that have gone this extreme are guys like meckster, flip, double Z, phat cav, and mull. Yeah there are girls outside of j-bodies that have done amazing jobs, but I am referring to the j-body world. And being thought as for having a big head, I don't, I have defended myself and its obvious that many people who have came back in on this thread and posted rude comments haven't read all the posts because if they have, they would see what I was defending myself for. Some of my comments made are what I meant but should have been worded better so there was no miss understanding to what was meant by them. It isn't about the car, but how you tell someone you have no respect for them and how to spend their money, I'm sorry I don't do that to others and I guess I expected others not to do that to me, but I guess I was wrong.

Thank you to all the people who have came into this thread and either supported the car or told me ways to inprove the car, I really do appreciate it.

I don't care if you state your opinion about the car, as long as you don't disrespect me for not being talented enough and not having enough time to do any own work than fine. I take the criticism and try to reflect on it to see if it would help the car. If you read the posts in this thread you would see that I am upset about certain individuals disrespecting ME not the car. So please if you got anything that would help please say it.

Thanks Brad, Well I got the wide body off some guy on ebay. And then we just modified the orginal pieces to what it is now. I think jason @ aplusperformance may be able to get the wide body for you, he is a good guy to work with.

How about everybody take a few steps back, recapture our thoughts, and remind ourselves why we are here on Jbody.org. Its not to hate, or to talk $hit, or to "sound stuck up" its to hang out with friends and help each other with our cars. Remember that. So squash the beef and continue to have fun. Life is too short to get all worked up over a post like this.

i think the car is @!#$ hot as hell... and she doesnt have a bad attitude its people being @!#$in dicks and disrespecting that are the problem here...maybe she doesnt know how to do the work herself?-shouldnt deserver less respect for wanting the car the way it is still....she doesnt have the time? - still doesnt deserve less respect....shes done more to her car than any of you that are complaining and it bugs you that she was able to do it with professional help and you cant( even if it wasnt with her own 2 hands ...i dont see any of you out there that are bitching about this going out and molding a custom widebody to the sides of your car yourselves without help)
trust me..if you had the money to get everything done professionaly i guarantee almost all of you would...and dont respond saying..no i wouldnt because i enjoy the satisfaction of doing it myself...because if you had the money you would be in a completely different state of mind than you are now ( even though you may think you wouldnt be)

i respect ashley for what she has accomplished and i love her car - after all this IS about her car not about her

Thanks Joe, I just wish certain individuals would just stay off the thread because it was going really good until page 3. Oh well, there are more people who support me and my car than against so I don't care anymore. Thanks again.

Once again, thanks to everyone who has given positive and or negative feedback, that hasn't been disrespectful throughout this thread, I really do APPRECIATE IT. Thanks and I'll keep everyone posted.

i think it's phat.. personally, i like drivin' around in a "done up" car. I can't do most of it, cuz i don't know my way between a sscrewdriver, and a hacksaw, so i take it to the shop. so? it's all gettin' done. i don't need the "satisfaction" of driving in a car i did myself. I'd rather it look good/great, and know it was done professionally so there's a warranty! haha

but that's just me. andthat's why i'm tryin' to sell mine!

but ashley, your car is TITS.

but, about comparing it to mulls... his new engine bay on the Cobalt is gonna be on acuators that disassembles it and pops it out of the engine bay... *faints*

at least you can compete w/brian 'n meckster i like it.

I'm tellin' Uncle Ben!! You stole his RICE!!

I'm not comparing to Mull's, he is the reason why I am going this far. He will always be the King. I have nothing but respect for Rob. Thanks for the comments though, I appreciate it.

This is really irritating. Ashley you never reply to anything I have to say, but I have to take up for you on this one. I am also a full-time student. I'm majoring in science and I have no time to do anything to my car (that's why it's been four colors for about 4 months now)... go to school, come home, study, sleep, go back to school. I can't imagine having a full time job while going to school.. I can understand you not having any time to do anything to your car. I can't be lucky enough to have all day- everyday to work on my car. Didn't you state that your husband has done like 40% of the work to your car and that you help out when you can? Come on people really. I guess EVERYONE on this site is supposed to do ALL their own body work-- heaven forbid someone takes it to a shop. If I had the money to take mine to a shop, I sure as hell would. Anyone would. I love knowing that I did something on my own to my car, but it is a hassle and very time consuming-- & I just want to see my car finished as I am sure Ashley does as well. If Ashley did everything on her own, with her having no free time, I'd say we wouldn't be seeing her car finished for like two years. =) Seems like it will take me that long.

People are jealous. I am jealous. I love your car and cannot wait to see it finished and I am glad it is a girl's car. I love that idea below though, if I had a widebody that's how I would do it. =) I've wanted to do that for a while though. I do NOT love your taillights, but I will probably like them more once I see the car painted. I love everything else!! Can't wait to see what color you decide on and can't wait to see what you have planned for the interior. I assume you're not telling us anything about either until your car is finished huh? I guess i can wait until April... good luck with everything!!
