Turbo Install: Day 1
Sunday, March 20, 2005 9:45 PM
Well, it was a long weekend of great successes and minor problems... all which will be solved in the long run. For now, we got a lot done with the car and I'm quite happy with the entire process so far....

Special SPECIAL thanks go out to Darren, Mark Anthony, and Mike, who were there to help me out, and thanks to George for letting me ship thousands of dollars in parts to his damn house every damn day.

On to the pics.

All the parts that aren't on the car already:

Custom Washer fluid can... this created about 3 square feet of space beside the bumper for charge pipes.

Intercooler from Johnny Race Car:

Intercooler on the car:

.... and with the bumper on....

And the money shot. Turbo mounted.

I still have a long way to go, but this was a huge first step towards boost.

All comments and questions welcomed.

Nice! I've been trying to figure how to do my intercooler on the stock front bumper. That looks great. Did you have to remove any of the front crush panel or anything like that?

I was also curious as to where you got your kit.

He doesn't have the stock front bumper, yet he has the RK sunfighter front bumper...

Good work Chris, keep working on it!

Hmm interesting. Looks like the stock one. Still looks good.

Yes it's the RKSPORT sunfighter Front bumper - stock height though!

And no, nothing was cut from the stock bumper support to make the intercooler fit, and it fits FLUSH with the bottom of the front bumpder.

It's 100% a perfect fit.

Also - that "kit" is all me. 2 years of collecting parts.

No, he has to have it remade, it runs right up against his A/C line.

Yeah, brandon... bad news... it rests RIGHT against the ac condenser line.

I need to get it modified or get a new one made. I'll find out this week. Ack
