Work, is why this isn't done yet. When I actually start the swap there will be a bazillion pictures.

I plan on using every LD9 sensor...I can, and a 95 alternator.

So, the last three sundays I actually have been working on my cav.

I have painted the HO IDI cover, HO Intake Manifold, 2.3 Belt Tensioner, 2.3 Oil fill tube, Convertible strut bar, Top engine mount, 2.3 HO TB, and some misc parts.

I also have been editing the trans tune a bunch. I actually started over, and made it drive pretty much like stock till I hit 100 ft-lbs.

Also my part throttle shifting from 3000-4500 is SO much better. Interestingly my knock when down. I was getting 2-3 degrees of knock at 4000-4500 under part throttle when shifting. I think the trans tune was messing with something.

Also, if anyone knows why my Mcmoney chamber plates are EATING lower half of 95-98 strut mounts...I would love you long time.

They are cracking where they slide / press onto the McMoney mounts.

You take a 95-98 mount throw away the top section, and install the bottom onto the McMoney mount.

forgive the newbness, but whats the fabric between the head and the gasket, and are you just test fitting or did you forget to cut out the exhaust ports in it?

You're not seeing the fabric/foam that's behind the gasket, do you?

Looks like it's just there to keep the ports clean and he was test fitting the manifold.

yeah this. I know what a gasket looks like
But was curious like it was some sort of filter to keep particles out or something...thinking..thats quite a constriction lol

Just old old old Moroso Engine seal/storage tape. JAZ products used to make it also.

Neither are made anymore.

Engine was oil fogged and then resealed up. Just test fitting / planning, wiring, fittings, bolts, nuts, and gaskets.
