Wow, that turbo better install itself for that kind of money, GOT DAMN. I thought I was nuts for paying 1100 for my turbo.

Good luck man.

Good gracious dude. That is going to be one heck of a build. Maybe a turbo that size would be nice for the ol Mercedes.....Once it has an injector pump that is good for 400+hp worth of fuel.

miiiiinnnt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its not that pricey for a turbo and wastegate all in one package, a gt35r is around 1400ish retail and then a 44mm tial wg is another 275ish so really with that in mind its about right

whats the exedy clutch good to power wise, whats the cost on it, might be able to help ya out there as well if youre open to options, i believe i priced a bully stage 4 for you a bit back but could be wrong

Well from what I read on css the exedy has done real good for the lsj turbo guys and if you can get a bully clutch for a lsj then ill gladly buy that

build looks very nice!

as said before though PLEASE no zzp springs.
look up electricblue06, he just had a full head built, full motor build, turbo swap, and the springs broke within 400 miles from zzp!

the exedy clutch should do you good. there is a handful of guys on there that had the clutch explode but that seemed to happen all the same time and that was at least two years ago, so i think that issue is resolved.

cant wait to see the build in progress! goodluck!

Looks like a cool build for sure!

FYI Supertech spring DO NOT FIT in the LSJ head without clearancing each of the valve pockets.

ZZP dropped their old supplier for their valve springs (said it was a production volume issue, but I suspect it was a quality issue) and now have a new supplier of valve springs....so the snapping issues might now be resolved.

curious as to why you went internal wastegate, according to that invoice?

Re: Borg Warner EFR 7670 J-Body Build

all the t3 EFR run internal w/g and internal BOV i would of need to run a t4 for the ext w/g. the w/g on these turbos is a totally new design and from what i gathered they respond and act like an ext w/g

We were only a couple dollars different on that turbo, we would have price matched, and you could have supported a J-Body verndor...

Remember these include a by pass valve (BOV in a so called way), and a wastegate. Both items help offset the cost of other turbos.
