Yeah car has been down for a year. Should have all my pieces in a week.

hopefully the rods/pistons work out. If you havnt already, you will need a fuel pump. racetronix w/ the harness is the best bang for the buck for plug and play. depending where you are going for power, the kid who bought my injectors is selling them again. They are 42.5# ones. I had them up to 323/285 with room to go. not sure what you are looking for.

Wow! I've been so busy the past two months. Promotion I've been waiting for Lots of training new people and no time to work on my car Anyways, I'm back! No more working weekends or late evenings at the parts store. I just ordered the piston rings for my engine. In the next 2 weeks my goal is to have the engine in the car. I hope to be getting a new trans here pretty soon too. My goal is to have this done by August, but we will see. If that doesnt work out, I then have all winter for even more

Not moving as fast as I want to on this but that's ok. Engine is completely assembled on stand ready to go in.
Some progress:
I installed my rods and pistons.

Get motivated and work on your car. I know having to tear it apart again is frustrating but once you get it going it will be totally worth it. Doing the timing on the Eco was a walk in the park. Resetting the tensioner was cake too. I need to get a trans for this motor then I will drop the beast in.

I think my tensioner was just old and fatigued and didnt pop. No motivation lol. Ill get to it when I do. If I am around and you need a hand, let me know.

You running any form of an LSD insert in the trans?

I know it has been a while, but here is an update...
motor is back together with eagle rods and weiseco pistons. Randomly chose the color, should be pretty cool in the car. Motor should be in the car sometime in September. Ive got a trans lined up to buy. My original goal was Aug. to have it done but ive been way to busy with the new position at work. Im shooting for early spring of 13'. Gives me all winter to do this right. I think a better heater for the garage is needed though, last winter was a bit cold on the -10 degree days. lol

I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.

Its going to be a show down, you done first or me?

Also, move that Evap crap down low under neath. cleans the top end up a lot better. You can take a look at mine some time if you want to see what I mean.

Cool, is the harness apart for a wire tuck? Or are you using the 2.4 harness to tune the eco on the ld9 reflash?

Re: 2000 z24 turbo build

I'm using the 2.4 harness and reflashing the ECU. The car had the 2.4 so I figured the car was perfect for this setup. I don't think I will be using that fuel rail. I'm undecided on what to do with the fuel system as far as injector size, what fuel rail, etc..

Defiantly get the 03 up rail....Just have to buy the injector cups Jason Norwood sells and you can run the shorter injectors

How much power do you plan on making? And what fuel pump are you using?
